We made our way to the observation platform to get a better view, although visitors more commonly take a boat cruise along these falls as it is an opportunity to get much closer to them. The Rhine falls mark a natural border between Switzerland and Germany, and holds important historic significance. We were completely surprised by the sheer power and thunderous sounds of these falls.

It took us approximately 1 hour to hike along the elevated walkway, which passes through the gorge. The walk itself is an easy one, and one can choose to hike back across the gorge again after reaching the end. The beauty of the rock formations and how nature takes its course can be easily appreciated from here!
