Content: My first stop of the trip was Monknash Beach. Part of the Glamorgan Heritage coast you can find some amazing cliffs here

Content: I walked along the beach and then reached Nash Point and it’s lighthouse which overlooks the sea.

Content: Brombil Reservoir is an incredible place. It’s a lovely walk through the forest and along a stream to get there, then you reach the bright blue water, such a magical sight. And it’s a great swimming spot in the summer. You can walk all around the perimeter of the reservoir. The closest parking is along a main road underneath the motorway bridge, before you reach double yellow lines.

Content: I parked at Southgate Car Park and walked along the coastal path / cliff head a bit. Then I sat on the cliff to admire the views and enjoy the weather.

Content: I arrived at my campsite later in the evening. It was a really beautiful campsite just outside saundersfoot in Pembrokeshire. Will who owned the campsite was really helpful with local advice and recommendations.

Content: Drove into Tenby and did a little walk along the beach. There’s lot of colourful houses overlooking the beach.
Content: Joined the coastal path and started the walk towards Saundersfoot.

Content: This small and Sandy cove is made extra special by its towering cliffs, with a giant ‘Door’ in. There’s a small car park at Lydstep Head or next to Manorbier Youth Hostel.

Content: A lovely walk through and around the lily ponds. You can park at the national trust Bosherston car park.

Content: The walk around Bosherston leads you to Broadhaven South beach. A really nice, quiet and isolated beach.

Content: This hidden gem is found hidden in a little cove. Driving through Bosherston village and then keep going until you get to St Govans Car Park. It’s a short walk from here to the chapel. You can walk down into the chapel and then out into the cove bellow. It’s also a great view of the chapel and the cliffs from above.

Content: Second night at Wills Field campsite. This greenhouse has a table and chairs in for you to eat drink read and relax.
Content: Enjoyed fish and chips (without the fish) for dinner at Saundersfoot Harbour

Content: Paid a visit to Carew Castle and did a circular walk around the ‘moat’ and past the tidal mill. It’s the only restored tidal mill in Wales.
Content: The castle was built in 1270. You can walk around the outside of the castle and past the mill for free. There’s a cafe at the castle and you can pay entry to look around the ruins.

Content: Parked at the Stackpole car park and made the short walk over the headland to Barafundle Bay. This beautiful beach has previously been named one of the best in the world and in the UK.
Content: Spent a while sunbathing on the beach and had a swim in the sea. The view of the beach before you walk down the steps to the sand is really worth admiring.
Content: Grabbed an ice cream and an iced coffee from the cafe by the car park to cool off after my walk.
Day 3 - 8 Jun 2021
Content: Final beach stop of the day was to Marloes Sands. This remote, Sandy beach is around 1.5km long at low tide. There’s lots of cliff walks to do by this beach which give you a great view of the coastline and the sea.
Content: I stayed at a hostel in a remote village of Trefin that night. It was very isolated and quiet and the closest shop was a petrol station around 10/15 minutes drive away. Owner of the hostel was very friendly snd helpful!

Content: Went for a short walk through the village and down to the coastal path and little beach at the end. The sun was setting and it looked incredibly pretty.

Content: The Blue Lagoon at Abereiddy was formerly a slate quarry. You can park on the beach to visit which costs £4. It’s a popular spot for swimming, cliff jumping and kayaking as part of organised groups. You can jump on the coastal path here too and walk some of it.

Content: Next stop was the smallest city in the UK, St David’s. Despite being the smallest city in the country the cathedral is vast and very impressive. You can look inside for free.
Content: Grabbed a takeaway hot chocolate from this little cafe.
Content: Took me a while to find but eventually I made it to Strumble Head and could just about see the lighthouse through the mist and the rain!
Content: A quick walk around Fishguard and down to the quay and the sun finally came out. You can park for free down in the lower town which is nearest to the harbour.
Day 4 - 9 Jun 2021
Content: I then left Pembrokeshire and crossed into Ceredigion, where I stayed at a B&B for the night. I also ate in the restaurant here.
Day 5 - 10 Jun 2021
Content: First stop of the day was to this ancient burial chamber which dates back to the Neolithic age. The stones are thought to have remained in place for 5000 years. It’s free to park at and free to visit.

Content: Then I headed over to Mwnt. It’s a national trust beach so you can park for free if you’re a member. There’s a nice walk here up to a viewpoint of the beach and you can also walk some of the coastal path. There’s a small church at Mwnt which dates back to the 13th century and is a grade 1 listed building. You can go inside for free.

Content: Parking at Penbryn is free if you’re a National Trust member. There’s a cafe really close to the car park called the Plwmp Tart. They do amazing homemade cakes as well as lunch and drinks.

Content: Penbryn is a beautiful beach with some beautiful coastline. I spent a while walking along and enjoying the sunshine. There were so huge jellyfish here though!!

Content: Tresaith beach has a beautiful waterfall cascading down into the sea.
Content: This amazing ice cream parlour on the New Quay front sells all sorts of home made ice cream. I went for Biscoff but I wish I could’ve had one of everything!! New Quay harbour is a great place for dolphin spotting, I was lucky enough to see some fits poking out of the sea whilst I was eating my ice cream!

Content: I then drove across to the Brecon Beacons where I stayed the night at a B&B

Content: The weather was really bad the next day so I cut my day short and just headed for a shorter waterfall walk in the morning. Henrhyd Falls are easy to get to from the car park and you can walk behind the waterfall which is pretty cool!
