Day 1 - 16 Nov 2021
Content: Living in Europe makes so much sense when you can just take a three hours train to the capital of love art art. I travelled to Paris from London with Eurostar, but unless you book it in advance, it can get really expensive. I would suggest purchasing the Eurostar ticket 2-3 months in advance. The advantage of taking the train, apart from going under water, is that you just go to St Pancras International in London and before you know you’re in Gare du Norde🚆
Day 2 - 17 Nov 2021
Content: Started my day with what else other than a pain au chocolate from a boulangerie. Emily in Paris would approve already🥖
Day 2 - 17 Nov 2021
Content: I stayed at a friend’s place in Paris. She is studying Art, so before her classes we walked a bit around Paris, had a little cheesy photoshoot (more of those coming) and made our way to Montmartre, the romantic neighborhood.
Content: I recommend spending some time on the steps in front of the Basílica, especially on a sunny day.
Content: Although the Maison Rose is emblematic for Paris, I found the vila next to it so much prettier!
Content: Just before reaching Galeries Lafayette, there is a restaurant and a lady selling crepes outside for around €3. I’ve got the Nutella one and it was so tasty!
Content: I went here during Christmas and…it’s really the best time of the year.
Content: A part of the Opera was closed to the public (the Great Auditorium I reckon), but the building itself is very beautiful and worth visiting.
Content: As you can see in the video, this bar looks like a grocery shop from the outside. But just touch that box and you’ll find yourself in one of the prettiest bars in Paris!
Day 3 - 18 Nov 2021
Content: Started my day with a take-away latte and one croissant 🥐 Tip - one cappuccino at a local terrace café is up to €6,5 !! but you can get a good one at the M&S supermarket store for €2,5. W You’re welcome ✌🏼
Content: Me and my M&S latte enjoying a sunny December day in the Luxembourg Gardens park.
Content: Italians, don’t come at me, but I strongly believe that the Panthéon in Paris is more beautiful on the inside than the one in Rome. I said what I said. The Panthéon, like many others sights in Paris, is free to visit if you’re an European citizen under 26 years old.
Content: Isn’t Pont Saint-Louis so romantic at sunset? Too bad I am traveling alone. JK. I loved so much being alone and enjoy Paris at my own pace.
Content: The perfect café to visit with your girls! I came here with the friend I was visiting and her girl friends. We had so much fun! For only €5 you can eat a special waffle - your choice of shape. I went for a classic.
Content: Pompidou Centre is free again if you’re an European citizen under 26, however some exhibits are not free.
Day 4 - 19 Nov 2021
Content: Another day, another pastry! I should mention that most of the days I had breakfast/ dinner at my friend’s house ❤️
Content: Rue de l’Université is where you want to go for those close-up pictures with the Eiffel Tower. But just so you know - it’s a very touristy place with many people around.
Content: Another great spot to take pictures of the Eiffel Tower!
Content: It’s also a good spot for skaters🛹
Content: Trocadero Gardens is probably the best spot to have a snack by the Eiffel Tower.
Content: Today I changed my accommodation for St Christopher’s Inn Hostel. The moment I got there I found out there was a free mojito class, so of course I joined. I made some friends and we all went to a club afterwards. *in December 2021 covid restrictions were very chill in Paris and clubs were functioning as always.
Day 5 - 20 Nov 2021
Content: Ten Belles cafe is very close to Garre du Norde, where my hostel was. I walked there and had the first good cappuccino in Paris!
Content: I can’t get over how good the sweets are in Paris 😍
Content: There was a queue here, so it was supposed to be very good. I found the croissant average, but still amazing 🥐
Content: Rue Crémieux is one of the most colorful streets in Paris! Prepare to spend some time taking pics here 📸
Content: Shakespeare & Company is my favorite library from all over the world (doesn’t matter that I haven’t seen them all). It’s free to enter but there is always a queue!
Content: Haven’t mentioned before, but today I walked all day. In the evening I decided to do some vintage shopping and I found a cute shirt - you can see me wearing it tomorrow ❤️
Day 6 - 21 Nov 2021
Content: This is the shirt I bought for only €5 from the vintage stores! Today it was raining, that’s why there were not many people at Palais Royal.
Content: From Palais Royal you can walk and go to Tuileries Garden. In December there was a cute Christmas market there and I had some cheese with potato French dish for €10 - a cheap meal for Paris.
Content: Orsay Museum is again free if you’re under 26. You’ll need probably 3 hours to see it all, take your time or go straight to the last floor for the famous works of art.
Content: Constantin Brâncuși was a famous Romanian sculptor who lived in Paris. They dedicated an exhibit just for his art, just right next to Centre Pompidou. It’s free to enter.
Day 7 - 22 Nov 2021
Content: Time to go home to Bucharest! Did you know that Bucharest, the capital city of Romania, it used to be known as Little Paris? 💕
Content: The last cheesy bit of video from Paris. I definitely recommend going to Paris solo. It is a safe city, like many other European cities, just follow common sense - don’t walk alone at night and avoid sketchy areas. “Emily in Paris” is not happening only in movies, people do live like that, and you can be one of them!
