Content: I’ve always dreamed of traveling to Aruba and see the world in pink... pink flamingos, pink sunsets, rosé all day. As soon as I had the opportunity to escape for a few days, I said yes to this Pink Paradise! I flew into Aruba on a direct route from Atlanta with Delta and had rented a car ahead of time for my arrival in Aruba. It is very easy to explore the island of Aruba with a car, as it takes only 1 to 1 1/2 hour to drive from the North to the South and approximately 45 minutes from the West to the East of the island. Since most hotels do not charge for parking, it is a great method of transportation around the island! As soon as I cleared customs at the airport, I headed towards the car rental location outside and was very impressed by the speed and professionalism of the people who were working there. I was out of the office within 30 minutes! Another option is to choose a private transfer to your hotel, which is also very easy and inexpensive.

Content: I chose the Aruba Marriott Resort for the first 3 nights of my trip. It is a beautiful hotel with great amenities and it features a casino as well. The views from the bedroom will make anyone jealous and the restaurants are excellent, featuring local seafood. They have a gym looking out to the pool and the beach and also have multiple pools on the property, one of which is for adults only. There is a Happy Hour every day as well, which is a perfect time to drink a pina colada or two ;) The resort sits on Palm Beach, which has the powdery white sand everyone loves and the bluest waters you’ll find in Aruba. You could even decide to only stay at the beach for your entire trip and be satisfied!

Content: My first dinner was right on the beach listening to the beautiful waves and to a jazz artist hired by the restaurant. Although I do not eat seafood (and it’s their specialty), I was able ask the chef for a pasta dinner with chicken, which was delicious.

Content: I decided to go explore Aruba with my rental car on the first morning of my arrival. My first stop was Baby Beach. Most known to locals, Baby Beach is on the southern tip of the island and feels like you are sitting in a giant bath. The water is warm and the ocean is calm, which makes it the perfect spot to relax. It also super safe for young children as the water is very shallow.

You will feel overwhelmed by the stairs heading straight into the dreamy turquoise waters of Aruba. It’s also a popular area for the locals.

Going there at sunset is definitely the best time to enjoy this sight and the views! You can also explore the area with your mountain bike or your ATV, which is a ton of fun!

Ruth's Chris Steak House

Content: If you want an amazing steak, a great glass of wine, good service, and incredible deserts, Ruth’s is definitely the place to go. If I could have stayed longer in Aruba, I would have chosen this restaurant twice. It’s right on the Marriott property, so you don’t have to walk or drive to get there.

Once you get to the park, you’ll be able to see hundreds of cliffs, incredible views of the ocean, cactus and dry lands, little farmhouses, and you will feel at times like you are completely alone on the island. There are also many hidden beaches that are completely isolated and empty. If you want to be peaceful, this is the place!
