Day 1 - 14 Sep 2021
Content: For a cheap, clean, traveler friendly hotel this is the best choice in town. You can make this your home base for the duration of the trip
Content: If driving across the US border to Vancouver like me you’ll arrive hungry for lunch. Head to this Mediterranean grill for killer green wraps & kebabs.
Day 1 - 14 Sep 2021
Content: Tucked into an industrial mall this Armenian restaurant is one of my favorites in Vancouver. Get the dumplings & the meat pide.
Day 1 - 14 Sep 2021
Content: If you can stomach a mid-afternoon snack grab some authentic noodles from Hawkers Delight.
Content: Before dinner walk the streets with a steaming cup of almond chai from East is East. The Almond Masala is best.
Content: This is a vegan spot. With killer cocktails and the “butter chicken” poutine and cauliflower bites are worth the trip in. Also get the basil pineapple cocktail.
Day 2 - 15 Sep 2021
Content: Did you know that Canada has their own style of Bagel?? The Montreal bagel. The best version in vancouver is here. Get the rosemary rocksalt flavored one. It’s a Canadian favorite.
Content: You should take a walk around the English Bay beach to help digest all this food. Also the beach is pretty and filled with these cool art sculptures.
Content: Get the cumin lamb cut noodles. Also throw in some of their noisy salt and pepper chicken while you’re at it.
Content: Vancouver has loads of good breweries but this one is great for a sunny day and super unique. Mostly because of its no frill no fuss atmosphere. I LOVED the pineapple Pilsner.
Content: If a traditional glass cup type of brewery is more your jam Bomber had tons of unique brews like this Yuzu Sour just up the street. And you can watch all the cyclists fly up the street.
Content: Best Indian food in little Saigon. Get a Dosa. Flavor doesn’t matter. Also I recommend the mango lassi. Monday has a Dosa special that comes with dessert for $6.
Day 3 - 16 Sep 2021
Content: Start your day with a velvety espresso and Italian pocket or with a London fog donut and lavender latte. This bakery has it all.
Content: Take the afternoon off and wander Stanley park. You can check out the various viewpoints and see the city skyline by the water.
Content: Grab a quick and easy dinner at pealed pies. I’d never had an Aussie pie or any Aussie food. Although the mushy peas are British.
Day 4 - 17 Sep 2021
Content: PHENOMENAL. get any kebab or plate and you’ll be happy.
Content: This is my favorite restaurant in Vancouver. It’s a traditional Japanese izakaya. The menu changes but you have to try the scallop mayo pizza (yes seriously), raw beef, pork cheek, and chicken nan ban.
Day 5 - 18 Sep 2021
Content: Ramen for breakfast. I liked the spicy variety. With the lunch special you get 3 gyoza with two added toppings. The pickled veggies and egg were my favorites.
Content: Grab a quick for the road snack for when you leave the city tomorrow from this Chinese bakery in historic Chinatown. I always gravitate for pineapple buns.
Content: This is a close second (maybe a tie) for my favorite restaurant in Vancouver. Here you’ll want the fried chicken (trust me), the butter beef, and any of the Cambodian Specialities that strike your fancy. This place is best with a large group but very doable with two hungry people.
Content: Seal out a perfect eating tour of Vancouver with some fancy cocktails at the chickadee room in historic Chinatown. I prefer the gin varietals.
