Content: I flew to Calgary from Vancouver on a rainy morning to start a 5 days road trip to the Canadian Rockies. First stop of the trip is the most famous lake in the world, Lake Louise. Though it was overcast that day but the lake still looked as magnificent as I imagined it to be.

Content: After a long day of travelling starting from Vancouver, I called it a day early at stayed at the Lake Louise Inn for the night before continuing my journey to the Banff town the following day.

Morant's Curve

Content: Started the next day with a visit to Morant Curve, a view point 5kms away from Lake Louise. Morant Curve is a scenic viewpoint and very famous among the photographers to capture the Rocky Mountain train passing through the curve between the mountains.

Content: Next up I visited Johnston Canyon on the Bow Valley Parkway. There are two falls to hike to at the Canyon, the upper fall and the lower fall. Due to the slippery conditions, I opted to hike to the lower falls which was a short 5km hike. The fall wasn't as big as some others in the Rockies but still very beautiful.

Content: Visited the Banff town and the small downtown area with many hotels and restaurants around. I stayed at the Rockies Motel for the night before exploring more of Banff the following morning

Content: Started the day visiting one of the most accessible lake and falls in the Banff National Park, the Bow Lake. Located in the heart of Banff downtown, the small lake and falls is famous for being most easily visited natural site in the area.

Content: Visited Lake Minnewanka in the afternoon. Due to off season, the boat tours weren't operational. During the season, there are many different boat tours to nearby smaller lakes and a few small islands starting from Lake Minnewanka.

Content: I started my journey towards Jasper through the most scenic highway in the Canadian Rockies, the Icefield Parkway. There are many scenic viewpoints along the 232km long highway. Just follow the signs labeled as 'Scenic viewpoint' to pullover and enjoy a stunning view of the mountains and lakes.

Content: Another very famous spot on the Icefield Parkway is the Athabasca Fall and Athabasca Glacier. I wasn't able to visit the fall as I was too hungry and tired from the drive but I did managed to visit the Glacier which looked absolutely stunning! Mind you, it was freezing cold standing in front of the massive Glacier!

Content: My final spot for the day was Sunwapta Falls in Jasper National Park. There are multiple small and big falls in Sunwapta and each one of it is insanely beautiful!

Content: Started the final day of the road trip by visiting the Maligne Lake. One of the perks of visiting places like the Canadian Rockies off season is that you can enjoy the serenity without any crowd! I found Maligne Lake all to myself.

Content: Visited the Maligne Canyon on way back from Maligne Lake. The beauty of Maligne Canyon is during the winter season when the canyons are entirely covered in snow. It looked beautiful, nonetheless during fall.

Content: On the drive back from Jasper to Banff the weather took a turn and suddenly it started snowing. My final stop of the roadtrip was the Bow lake viewpoint and seeing it all covered in snow was the best ending to a beautiful trip to the Canadian Rockies!
