Content: Upon arriving at Jose Marti, the passport control queues were fairly short but the baggage claim area was awful- no air conditioning and hundreds of passengers in a very small area. You couldn't see your bag on the carousel and had to ask others to pass the bag to you. The arrivals hall is very busy and that creates a slightly uncomfortable atmosphere though there are lots of police officers around the ATMs. Getting a taxi is very easy.

Content: Build 1930. Resembles Breakers of Florida.Very graceful. About 427 rooms. Large beautiful gardens overlooking the sea. Swimming pool. Gym. Excellent and plentiful breakfast with everything you can imagine. Live music for breakfast lunch and dinner.

Content: This long waterfront road runs for miles. Wander along it while soaking up views of the ocean and watching colorful convertible cars cruise by.

Content: This vibrant alleyway is full of quirky statues and colourful street art. It was created to brighten up the area which was once dilapidated. Now it’s a vibrant tourist hotspot with quirky cafes. Visit on a Sunday for a rumba party at noon.

Content: This cemetery lavished in marble and gold has become somewhat of a tourist attraction. There are over a million graves, some resembling small palaces. Entrance is 1 CUC.

Content: Don’t miss this tower in the corner of Plaza Veij. Images of the city are projected into a dark room which you can visit for just 2 CUC. The views of the city from the top terrace are excellent

Content: This boutique hotel and art gallery has a colourful cafe downstairs with menus printed on old vinyls. We stopped by for brunch and coffee for 6 CUC.

Content: This might be the most biased and least objective museum on earth but it’s worth a visit (while thinking critically) to understand the level of propaganda that operates in Cuba.

Content: The ferry ride to Casablanca costs 10 CUC. Another fun option would be to explore Casablanca’s attractions by hired bicycle.

Content: After we exited the ferry and the ferry terminal at Casa Blanca and road leads to the statue of Jesus Blanco. For the last few months he has been encased in scaffolding but there is a view point worth reaching and the walk up takes about 10 to 15 minutes from the pier.

Content: The city of Trinidad is more likely to receive visitors with this hotel in service. With only two floors, it offers a very good menu selection, both in breakfast and dinner, large, clean rooms, with modern amenities, good service, centraly located, across a small park.

Content: We climbed the bell tower for 5 CUC and enjoy views over Trinidad. We wandered the colonial city center and shop for souvenirs at local markets

Content: We visited La Casa de la Musica (the house of music) at 7pm to watch a colourful Cuban dance show.

Content: We partied at the cave club, also known as Disco Ayala. This bar set underground in a real cave is the most iconic place to experience Trinidad’s nightlife.

Content: While cycling to El Cubano Natural Park, we passed traditional villages unchanged for decades, as well as rolling hills and forests. This enormous national park is full of waterfalls and natural swimming holes.

Content: Good service and very good fish. The prices are a bit steep as usually are in any palmares restaurant. The lobster was somewhat expensive for Cuban prices. Right next to the beach where you can go for a quick swim while you wait for the food to be done

Content: The lovely house is located in a quiet street at convenient walking distance to the center of Vinales. The room is big, very clean with airco and fridge and it has a huge balcony with stunning view on the valley and mountains.
