Content: Border Crossing INFO. GOING TO MEXICO: -Carry your passport before you cross into Mexico. -You will most likely not get pulled into inspection while crossing from USA to Mexico. They usually do not even stop cars to check passports. -Carry car insurance just in case. -Best is to have Global Entry so you can use the Sentri lanes on your way back. Border Crossing INFO. GOING BACK TO USA: -Use the CBT BWT (CBP Border Wait Times) app on your phone to check wait times. -San Ysidro crossing is the most popular and can have long wait times. -Otay Mesa crossing usually has smaller wait times -Both are safe at night!
