Day 1 - 18 Jul 2017
Content: Los Cabos was a perfect spot for a trip to a beautiful destination that offers the ultimate relaxation from daily routine. It is located at the very tip of the Baja California Peninsula with mountains, desert, and sea come together to provide stunning natural scenery. We arrived at Los Cabos airport one of the busiest in Mexico. It was very clean and crowded. The airport consists of two terminals: terminal one is primarily serving domestic flights within Mexico and terminal two serves international destinations. We got a taxi from the gate to our hotel. The driver was very informative and helpful to chart our journey.
Content: Los Cabos is mainly made up of two towns: Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. We checked in to the Cabo Villas Beach Resort & Spa, located at Cabo San Lucas. It was the most popular and luxury hotel situated on Medano Beach. The staff and their service were extraordinary. The rooms are clean and neat with a large bed. The pool was too crowded when we checked in. It was a perfect place for travelers, who seek quality service while enjoying the best of the Cabo San Lucas lifestyle. We took some time to settle in and enjoyed a welcome cocktail.
Content: We got ready to start exploring the city and decided to get out on the water. We headed to Marina- the premier centers of activity in Cabo San Lucas. We could observe one of the local fishing boats as the crew weighs out the day's biggest catch. We hired a stand-up-paddleboard excursion out to the Arch.
Content: Our boat stopped to get a close look at the iconic Arch at Land’s End, where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez. We saw an amazing view of the arch. The golden hills of the arch and its surroundings are very beautiful. The most visited main beaches are Playa del Amor (Lover’s Beach or Love Beach), Playa del Divorcio (Divorce Beach), and Playa del Pelicano (Pelican Beach) around the arch.
Content: Then we stopped at Lovers Beach on the Sea of Cortez side for a dip. Then we walked across to Divorce Beach on the Pacific side to enjoy the view. The divorce beach seems to be dangerous with very strong waves. The Lovers beach itself separates into two bodies of water. The Sea of Cortez on one side and the pacific ocean on the other side. We saw rock formations surround it and it was very beautiful to walk around. We enjoyed a very pleasant atmosphere while walking around.
Content: After spending time on the water, we took a stroll around the Cabo San Lucas Marina. We had dinner from Baja Lobster Company on the way back to the hotel. There are options of dining inside in an air-conditioned room, outside on the terrace, or in the bar suspended over the water, where you can almost touch the yachts. This restaurant was well known for the lobster dishes. We tried lobster tail saute in white truffle and butter. Then we ate cheese cake as a dessert, it was mind-blowing in taste.
Day 2 - 19 Jul 2017
Content: We grab hot and strong coffee and light breakfast from the restaurant before heading to start our day. The ambiance was great and the food was excellent.
Content: We headed to Playa Acapulquito, one of the best surfing beaches in the area. This spot is a very favorite of surfers from around the globe, it is usually crowded. We enjoyed very calm and long waves. It is not advisable to go swimming. The Mike Doyle Surf School on Playa Acapulquito is one of the best and ideal spots for long boarders. Then we headed to the next destination.
Day 2 - 19 Jul 2017
Content: Our next activity of the day was bird watching, for that our driver head out to the San Jose del Cabo estuary. They offer many programs, but the only thing reservation in advance is required. Our tour lasted for about 3 hours, which included guided Bird-watching and a nature walk. We had an amazing experience by walking at the estuary and learned about the conservation program launched by the local NGO's. We got the opportunity to encounter many varieties of birds. The guide was very informative and knowledgeable about the birds as well as places. We visited some nesting sites to learn about their interesting cycles of life.
Content: We had lunch from 7 Seas Seafood Grille, located on the beach. The location allows us to view the Pacific Ocean that enhances our dining experience. It was a very classy and nice seafood restaurant with a wide variety of dishes. From their menu, we picked up Seafood Casserole. It was different in name, they served squid, shrimp, and octopus coated in wine sauce. The taste was very different and unique.
Content: We set the remaining time of the day for the Main Square of San Jose del Cabo. We started from Cabo Town Hall, located on the corner of Boulevard Mijares and Doblado Street. The building houses San Jose government offices, including the Mayor's office. It was a beautiful colonial building with a clock tower at the top. We took pictures in front of the building. From the entrance, the building was packed with beautiful mural paintings. In one corner of the town square, we found a semi-circular monument of Mijares behind a fountain. It was carved with the words: "Jardin de Los Cabenos Ilustres" which means Garden of Illustrious Cabenos.
Content: Then we moved to the Art District, one of San Jose del Cabo's main draws. It was well-known for the San Jose Art Walk which is held weekly on Thursday nights between November and June. The art galleries display original paintings, sculptures, photography, and jewelry by local, national, and international contemporary artists. The street was packed with local restaurants. We saw many street performers such as musicians and dancers they added a lively atmosphere throughout the evening. We saw many handicraft shops in San Jose del Cabo, besides the art galleries.
Content: For dinner, we went to La Lupita Taco & Mezcal. It was located in the heart of the Art District in Downtown San Jose del Cabo. The restaurant offered a unique and traditional selection of tacos and dishes. We had Santo Pastor, which was stuffed with pork and pineapple with yellow corn.
Day 2 - 19 Jul 2017
Content: On the way to the hotel, we headed to Cabo Wabo to dance and enjoy the nightlife. The Los Cabos was collected with vibrant dance clubs, and rock venues owned by music legends. Cabo San Lucas has a well-deserved reputation as one of Mexico's hottest party destinations. We enjoyed jazz music and dance with our family.
Day 3 - 20 Jul 2017
Content: We had breakfast from Mama's Royal Cafe. They served great coffee along with Mexican favorites like chilaquiles. We had french toast stuffed with cream cheese and topped with fresh fruits along with spicy Mexican sausage with avocado. The food was fresh and presented well.
Content: After breakfast, we headed to the first destination of the day. We set the day for a leisurely trip. We started with a lavish walk along the El Medano beach to enjoy the views of jet skis zipping across the bay and para-sailers flying overhead. Along the sand, we saw many vendors with their products.
Content: After lunch, we headed to Wild Canyon Adventures. It was located in a private property with views of flora, fauna, desert, and the sea. The park was very beautiful with waterslides, a fountain, lounge chairs, and a pool, as well as an animal sanctuary. There are opportunities to experience activities like bungee jumping or zip lining. The most thrilling part of our trip. It was the perfect place to explore with families. We could hand-feed love-birds and macaws, take pictures with large tortoises and iguanas, and learn more about these exotic species at Wild Canyon’s Kingdom Animal Sanctuary. Then we headed to our villa to spend some valuable time.
Content: We headed back to Cabo Villas Beach Resort & Spa for a relaxing spa treatment. We underwent a hot rock massage and chocolate body wrap. The staffs were very professional and friendly. The massage treatment rooms are well maintained and neat. There was a spa boutique with apparel, swimwear, and accessories at a reasonable price.
Content: We had dinner from Sunset Monalisa. It was an ideal place to enjoy perfect dinner with family and loved ones. Along with the rich ambiance, the food was very rich in taste and flavor. We enjoyed tasty food with a fabulous view.
Day 4 - 21 Jul 2017
Content: After breakfast, we headed to Los Cabos International Airport. We had the best experiences and activities. We reached the airport three hours in advance. The departures were on the ground level of the airport. After formalities, we wandered around the airport.
