Day 1 - 20 May 2021
Content: This time I traveled to Mexico on a different mode. Solo travel mode. I took my laptop with me because I still had to work and join zoom meetings for some classes. I did not rent a car but instead took the ADO bus which was really comfortable and had AC. Ticket to Playa del Carmen was ~ 11$ usd
Day 1 - 20 May 2021
Content: Cheap for the location and proximity to the beach and ADO bus but it wasn’t my favorite and I stayed at a few different selinas. I just spent one night and finished some assignments before going to Tulum the next day.
Day 2 - 21 May 2021
Content: Spent some time at the beach and relaxed for a little bit before heading to Tulum.
Day 2 - 21 May 2021
Content: Arrived on time to connect to my zoom meeting. This hostel is like boutique hostel or the most “luxury” hostel there is out there. I had the coworking all to myself from 8-10 pm. From 6-8 pm I connected from my room and the wifi connection didn’t fail even once. I was amazed and so relieved. Hands down the best hostel in Tulum.
Day 3 - 22 May 2021
Content: We walked from the hostel to Tulum centro to take a van that took us to Laguna Kaan Luum. Make sure to get the drivers phone number to call them when you are ready to be picked up.
Content: Don’t forget to take pictures with all the swings and go to the look put point to get a better picture from the swing in front of it ;)
Content: I was craving shrimp and we walked around tulum centro where we were dropped off to find shrimp! Good enough for the price, nothing fancy but worth a visit if you are around.
Content: Excellent place for dessert, if you love sweets and are staying at Mayan monkey then definitely stop by here. After spending a great time in Tulum I went back to PDC with the ADO bus 🚌
Day 4 - 23 May 2021
Content: 🇵🇪 Peruvian food in Playa deal Carmen. These guys came here three times! Yes, it was that good!
Content: My luggage broke and walked around the south part of PDC to find a new luggage and found this this colorful street.
Content: Be careful when planning your Quintana Roo trip. Mexico gets hit with lots of seaweed and may is definitely a seaweed month. Tulum was even worst. This part of play del Carmen by parque fundadores was not bad at all with seaweed, was the cleanest part of the beach.
Content: Loved the location and the privacy of this hotel. Family owned and friendly. Located a few steps away from the Peruvian restaurant so it could not be more perfect 😍 I love Mexican food but I’ve been eating it for a while already so it was good to have Peruvian food so accesible and at a affordable price.
Day 5 - 24 May 2021
Content: Saying goodbye to wonderful people.
Content: Lost my flight to Oaxaca (from cdmx) be careful with your gate I don’t see letter gates in the airport only numbers so make sure to ask someone from your airline where are the letter gates. Fortunately, my flight was changed for free ☺️
Content: First time trying food from Israel. 10/10 it was open until midnight, when we got to the neighborhood most other places were closed already. After a quick walk through the neighborhood I went to the airport to finally arrive to Oaxaca.
Day 6 - 25 May 2021
Content: Arrived to Oaxaca’s airport and there is no uber there, take the transportation available from the airport, it’s a van and you will be riding with other travelers from your flight and each one will be dropped off at their hotels. I was concerned about finding a taxi but the transportation from the airport worked so well. Once you are settled in your hotel get the number of a trusted taxi company. People in Oaxaca are very kind and friendly. I felt very welcomed ☺️
Day 6 - 25 May 2021
Content: Stayed at the coworking space at Selina before taking a bus to Puerto Escondido
Content: I wanted to try mole for the longest time and I couldn’t find a good place in Quintana Roo, finally in Oaxaca I was able to do it and I’m obsessed with mole 😍 this restaurant is one with best reviews in town so don’t miss out on trying MOLE! Thank me later.
Day 7 - 26 May 2021
Content: Arrived to puerto Escondido in the morning and as soon as I dropped off my stuff I came here to watch this beautiful view 😍
Content: Spent some time exploring around and taking selfies because why not 😝
Content: Travel solo tip here: set your phone or camera on top of a rock and place a smaller rock behind your phone and use the temporizer and repeat as many times as you need 😁
Content: When you come to this beach don’t forget to bring lots of water! It’s really hot and you would want to spend some time there, it’s really beautiful ☺️
Day 7 - 26 May 2021
Content: I ended the day at a Peruvian restaurant again 🙈 #guiltypleasures
Day 8 - 27 May 2021
Content: Woke up early for the dolphin tour 😍 this was by far one of my favorite experiences of the trip! Highly recommend 👏🏽
Content: On our way to find dolphins 🐬
Content: After coming back from the dolphin tour you should stay at the beach in that area, cross the bridge and you will find a nice beach and a few restaurants to eat breakfast at :)
Day 8 - 27 May 2021
Content: I took public transportation to come here, quite an adventure and we took a taxi to go back to puerto Escondido
Day 9 - 28 May 2021
Content: When I came back to Cancun I made sure to get the covid pcr test and relax for the following couple of days before leaving to go back home.
Content: This place is strategically located, a few minutes away walking from Salud digna lab to get a CPR test at a very reasonable price. Co working available and plenty of space to keep distance from others.
