Day 1 - 4 Mar 2021
Content: Woke up early in the morning to take a flight from Miami to St Lucia. The direct flight is approximately 4 hours as the island is on the southeast end of the Caribbean.
Day 1 - 4 Mar 2021
Content: After going through passport control and customs, we hopped in our private transfer for the 1 hour drive to Caille Blanc Vila outside of the city of Soufriere. We stayed in the "Pool View Suite", which is fantastic as you wake up to the views of the infinity pool and the Pitons. The only thing is that the pool is for the entire hotel, so you do not have as much privacy when you have the pool front wall open. The best suite for privacy and view is the Sunset Suite.
Content: Spend the first afternoon enjoying the pool and a romantic dinner at the hotel while watching the sunset over the Pitons.
Day 2 - 5 Mar 2021
Content: Wake up early and have breakfast at the hotel. You can either enjoy breakfast on the patio or order it to your room for a more private dining experience.
Content: Head into town to the Soufriere Beach for a scuba scuba diving tour. It includes two dives with the opportunity to see countless underwater species. The tour costs $110 per person, including all the diving gear.
Content: In the afternoon head over to Sugar Beach to go kayaking at the base of the Pitons. It is not a very sandy beach but it is a beautiful beach to go kayaking and paddling or just enjoy a cocktail by the water. You will get amazing photos of the Gros Piton.
Content: Go back to the hotel and enjoy a delicious dinner. Depending on when you get back you can even enjoy another sunset from the infinity pool.
Day 3 - 6 Mar 2021
Content: We had a blast hiking the Gros Piton. It is the only one out of the two Pitons that you can hike without needing to actually rock climb. It is a long hike and you will be exhausted by the end of it. We recommend bringing plenty of water, sunscreen and bugs repellent. The best view is stop #1 (to see the Petit Piton) and #3 at the top (from the top you won't see the Petit Piton but instead you will see the rest of the island). If you can only hike a little bit I would stop at stop #1.
Content: Enjoy lunch at the hotel and walk down the cliff side steps at the hotel to a private place called Snorkel Cove, where you can spend the rest of your afternoon snorkeling and taking photos of the pitons. It is an amazing cove with serval colorful fishes and a stunning coral reef. It is recommended to bring water shoes with you as this is a rocky beach to get into the water.
Day 4 - 7 Mar 2021
Content: Enjoy your last breakfast at the hotel before packing your bags to go back to Miami. Remember the airport is an hour drive so leave enough time to get to the airport.
Day 4 - 7 Mar 2021
Content: Bye bye St Lucia, until next time!
