Content: After a stopover in Paris and another 12 hours of flight we finally arrived in Los Angeles! We spent the first night at the Hilton Hotel & Suites in Santa Monica and the following day we are ready to start exploring the city! First stop is the famous Melrose Avenue with its amazing colorful murals; the best and most famous one is the “Angel Wings” by Colette Miller; Right in front you can find the Melrose Trading Post, the most beautiful and famous flea-vintage market of LA, you can’t miss it!

Content: We continued the day in Beverly Hills, my favorite neighborhood of LA. We stopped for a photo in front of the famous Beverly Hills hotel and then we walked through the beautiful Rodeo Drive shops! Do you recognize the “Pretty Woman’s” hotel? It’s “The Beverly Wilshire” in front of the staircase of Rodeo Drive and a must see if you liked the movie!

Content: We had lunch at “Il Pastaio” in Beverly Hills, two minutes walk from Rodeo Drive. It’s a very chic Italian restaurant and we ate a delicious pasta with meat sauce! Super recommended if you’re in the neighborhood!

Content: After a quick change in the hotel, we went to Venice beach to spend the afternoon on the beach. I loved the atmosphere here, I mean, It just feels like a movie! The famous Skate Park, Muscle Beach, Palm trees, the colorful lifeguard towers.. California vibes everywhere! 😍

Content: Day 2 started with a walk on the famous “Walk of Fame” in Hollywood! On Hollywood Boulevard you can find the famous Dolby theater where the Oscar Night takes place and you also can seen the Hollywood sign from afar! Personally it’s one of the areas I loved the least, because of the dirt and the confusion, but the stars of the “Walk of fame” are worth a visit!

Content: The third day we decided to explore a little more of LA and we went to the Mexican neighbourhood! It’s not one of the most popular places in the city but i suggest you to visit it! Olvera Street is an historic street in downtown Los Angeles, and a part of El Pueblo de Los Angeles Historic Monument.. there you can find typical restaurants, vendors and colorful markets for some shopping! It really reminded me of the atmosphere in Mexico!

Content: The skyscrapers of Downtown LA are not as tall as other American cities and there’s not much to see besides the Walt Disney Concert Hall and the famous Staples Centre, The Lakers Stadium!

Content: Another cute location not to be missed is the Original Farmers Market, at the corner of Fairfax Avenue and 3rd Street. An area of food stalls, sit-down eateries, prepared food vendors, and produce markets. First opened in July 1934, it is also a historic Los Angeles landmark and tourist attraction.

Content: We started our West Coast road tour and on the way to Las Vegas we stopped at Calico. It is a ghost town and former mining town in San Bernardino County, located in the Calico Mountains of the Mojave Desert region of Southern California, it was founded in 1881 as a silver mining town, and was later converted into a county park named Calico Ghost Town. The atmosphere today is so nostalgic and a little scary. Do you know the movie “the hills have eyes”? Ok it seems to be right there!

Content: After dinner we took a walk on the Strip and we saw the beautiful Bellagio Fountains show.. just amazing!! There is nothing like seeing them in person, each performance is unique in expression and interpretation so no matter how many times you have seen the Fountains, they always have more in store to wow you with! ☞ The Fountains of Bellagio is a daily experience in Las Vegas, every 30 minutes, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and every 15 minutes from 7:00 PM to midnight.

Content: For the first two nights in Las Vegas we stayed at “The Venetian” hotel, just iconic! This Luxury hotel uses Venice, Italy, as its design inspiration and features architectural replicas of various Venetian landmarks, including the Palazzo Ducale, Piazza San Marco, Piazzetta di San Marco, the Lion of Venice Column and the Column of Saint Theodore, St Mark's Campanile, and the Rialto Bridge. So impressive! It really looks like the real Venice!

Content: We spent the night playing at the casinò (it’s a must in Las Vegas!!) and we visited some of the most famous and iconic hotels like the “Golden Nugget” on the Fremont Street! This resort is built around two aquariums. The larger faces the swimming pool and incorporates a slide through the tank containing full-grown sharks. The smaller aquarium is in the lobby of the Rush Tower. Amazing, isn’t it?

Content: What to do in Vegas at night? Of course, go to the Fremont Street Experience, a pedestrian mall and attraction in downtown Las Vegas. The central attraction is a barrel vault canopy and while Las Vegas is known for never turning the outside casino lights off, each show begins by turning off the lights on all of the buildings, including the casinos, under the canopy. There’s also a Slotzilla zip line attraction and concerts, usually free, are also held on three stages. Fun is guaranteed!

Content: The next day we traveled the famous Route 66 on the way to the Grand Canyon; we stopped at Seligman and Williams, the two most characteristic villages. The Route 66 or U.S. Highway 66, the Main Street of America or the Mother Road, was one of the original highways in the U.S. Highway System. Today it is very popular among tourists who want to experience authentic America.

Content: Williams is also known as the "Gateway to the Grand Canyon”, it’s just an hour’s drive from this natural wonder of the world. Just steps away, enjoy hiking, fishing, camping, and pretty much whatever else you can think to do outdoors.

Content: And finally.. the Grand Canyon! This Natural beauty is a famous canyon in Arizona, formed by the Colorado River. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and a National Park of the United States. It is also one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World and it left us speechless! The land on the north side of the Grand Canyon is called the North Rim. The land on the south side is called the South Rim. North Rim is open to visitors from May to October. It is possible to visit South Rim all year round. ☞ Grand Canyon admission is $35 per car. People accessing by foot or bicycle have to pay $20. Have you ever visited this amazing place?

Content: We stayed at the Grand Hotel at the Grand Canyon and the following day we visited the Grand Canyon from the West entrance, every single corner is just wonderful.. I mean, look at these reddish colors.. absolutely breathtaking! You’ll also find lots of cute squirrels, but they recommend not to touch them so as not to risk being bitten!

Content: Finally we visited one of the places I dreamed of the most.. The amazing Monument Valley! This is a region of the Colorado Plateau characterized by a cluster of vast sandstone buttes, the largest reaching 1,000 ft (300 m) above the valley floor. It’s located on the Utah-Arizona state line and it’s a sacred area that lies within the territory of the Navajo Nation Reservation, the Native American people of the area. It’s just breathtaking, you feel so small in the middle of this wonder!

Content: Day 10 started with a visit of the amazing Antelope Canyon! This place left me totally speechless.. how beautiful nature can be!! Antelope Canyon is a slot canyon in the American Southwest, on Navajo land east of Page, Arizona. It includes two separate, scenic slot canyon sections, referred to as Upper Antelope Canyon and Lower Antelope Canyon. It was formed by the erosion of Navajo Sandstone due to flash flooding and other sub-aerial processes. It changes colours according to the light of the day.. such a magic! ☞ The road to upper Antelope Canyon is gated by the Navajo Nation and entry is restricted to guided tours led by authorized tour guides.

Content: If you take this trip, I strongly recommend you to try the overflight over Lake Powell and the Horseshoe Bend! It costs 300$ per person but it’s totally worth it!! The flight takes about 40 minutes and you can see landscapes that would otherwise not be seen from below! Such a dream come true! Look at the colors of the Lake.. no filter needed!!

Content: We woke up in Kanab, Utah. This small city is very neat and as you can see the rocks around are reddish, this is due to its proximity to Bryce Canyon that is only 1 hour and 20 minutes away.

Content: Then we visited the Bryce Canyon: another wonder of Mother Nature! It’s located in southwestern Utah and despite its name, is not a canyon, but a collection of giant natural amphitheaters along the eastern side of the Paunsaugunt Plateau. Bryce is distinctive due to geological structures called hoodoos, formed by frost weathering and stream erosion of the river and lake bed sedimentary rocks. The red, orange, and white colors of the rocks provide spectacular views for park visitors. Also it sits at a higher elevation (from 2,400 to 2,700 m).

Content: And then we visited the last National Park on our plans.. Zion National Park is located in southwestern Utah near the town of Springdale at the junction of the Colorado Plateau, Great Basin, and Mojave Desert regions. The park has a unique geography and a variety of life zones that allow for unusual plant and animal diversity. A must see is the famous Checkerboard Mesa: the descriptive name stems from the cliff's distinctive multitudinous check lines in cross-bedded white sandstone which give the impression of a checkerboard.
