Day 1 - 15 May 2022

LaGuardia Airport

New York, LaGuardia Airport

Content: Flying from NYC to Nashville takes just under 2 hours so is perfect for a short break. I took this trip with my husband, our 2 year old son and my parents so it really was a family trip! Top Tip: sit on the left side of the plane for the best views of Manhattan!

Content: We stayed in an Air BnB. This apartment was spacious and had evening we needed. It’s located very close to Centennial Park. Nashville is quite spread out so it would be ideal to have a car. We didn’t have a car but managed fine on public transport.

Broadway

Nashville, Broadway

Content: We headed straight towards to Broadway and Music Row. It was a Sunday afternoon and the atmosphere was pretty wild. People were partying!! My toddler was actually obsessed with watching all the party trucks and busses.

Cerveza Jack's Nashville

Nashville, Cerveza Jack's Nashville

Content: We stopped for a drink, snack and live music while my son was napping. We chose a random bar just off Broadway and it was pretty good! Seeing live country music is a must do while you’re in Nashville!

Mattheessen's

Nashville, Mattheessen's

Content: When he woke up we needed a sweet treat. This ice cream shop was perfect. Nashville was super hot, even in the middle of May!

Content: This was probably my favourite area of Nashville to explore. It’s a street of cute little boutiques, cafes and restaurants. There’s also a park with a nice children’s playground at the bottom of the hill. The murals make excellent Instagram photo opportunities! 💕

Content: We walked across the bridge to get to a new park. In my opinion this bridge is quite ugly and you could skip it!

Bridge Building

Nashville, Bridge Building
Nashville, Bridge Building

Content: The main reason we walked across the bridge was to get to this park. In the summer, the part in the photos should have a splash pad which would have been really fun. When we went it was turned off. I wouldn’t recommend going here in winter but definitely should be fun for children in the summer! No

Rippy's Bar & Grill

Content: We gave up on the park and headed for lunch! We really enjoyed this place. It’s fast food but that’s really what Nashville is about! The last photos are the view from the upstairs window.

Day 4 - 18 May 2022

The Gulch

Nashville, The Gulch
Nashville, The Gulch

Content: In the afternoon we took a bus down to The Gulch. A small area with nice shops and cafes. We decided to take the bus as it was just so hot to walk. It costs $2 per adult and you can ask for a 2 hour ticket which gives you unlimited use within that time. The WhatLiftsYou Wings Mural is probably the most famous mural in Nashville so you should get a photo here. Top Tip: stand a little bit away from the wall to get the best effect.

The Local

Nashville, The Local

Content: Watching more live music in Nashville is a must! This place had a really nice vibe. We had a drink and also the chips and queso which was really good!

I Love Sushi

Nashville, I Love Sushi

Content: Then we got dinner at I Love Sushi. This is literally opposite the AirBnB and also does happy hour!

Day 5 - 19 May 2022

Grand Ole Opry

Nashville, Grand Ole Opry

Content: We took a bus to the Opry Mills Outlet shopping centre. This is just opposite the Grand Old Opry. As my toddler was taking a rare nap I decided to shop. You can probably fit both these activities in to a day though! Make sure to get the 2 hour bust ticket here if, like us, you need to transfer.

Elliston Place Soda Shop
