Day 1 - 15 Feb 2022
Content: Welcome to Downtown Dallas! We flew here from LGA (New York). Tip - sit on the left side of the plane for the best views over Manhattan!
Day 1 - 15 Feb 2022
Content: We stayed in an AirBnB in the Evolve building on South Ervay Street. This was a pretty good location for exploring Downtown Dallas. The apartment was very spacious and had everything we needed!
Content: The Farmers Market was a short walk from our AirBnB. It’s a great place to grab some food or do a little bit of shopping! On the weekend they also have an extended area selling fresh produce.
Day 2 - 16 Feb 2022
Content: I read so many blog that recommended this park. One even said it was Dallas’ version of Central Park. That person clearly has never been to Central Park! I was really disappointed by this park. In fairness, we visited in winter, summer might be better!
Content: Take a ride on the free M Line trolley. This is also really fun for kids!
Content: We really enjoyed the food at Chop House Burger!
Day 3 - 17 Feb 2022
Content: A sculpture of charging bulls. Photos don’t really do it justice. There are so many bulls running all the way down the hill. This was also a short walk from our AirBnB.
Content: This photo was taken at Ferris Plaza. You get a good view of Union Station and The Reunion Tower. I decided not to visit the tower but it is a popular thing to do in Downtown Dallas.
Content: Get breakfast (or coffee and a sweet treat) at the Corner Bakery. It’s a large cafe. We’d recommend trying a Bundit!
Content: See the place where John F Kennedy was assassinated. There’s an X on the floor to mark the exact location. The Grassy Knoll, located just down the hill is where a second shooter was thought to be hiding.
Content: The truffle fries here are amazing! We went for food and happy hour cocktails!
Day 4 - 18 Feb 2022
Content: We spent a day exploring Deep Ellum which is an area in Downtown Dallas. The breakfast (and service) here was great!
Content: There are murals painted all over the streets of Deep Ellum. It’s really fun to wander the streets spotting them all.
Content: I don’t eat meat but I was a good wife and let my husband get dinner here. He loved it. The only veggie option was Mac and Cheese but I’ve had better!
Day 5 - 19 Feb 2022
Content: We decided to take a day trip to Stockyards at Fort Worth. This was my favourite day in Dalls and I would really recommend it. Try to avoid going on a Saturday if possible as it was pretty busy! We took a TRE train that took about an hour to Fort Worth Central and then a number 15 bus to Main and Exchange.
Day 5 - 19 Feb 2022
Content: See a Bill close up. Some of them have a horn span of 6foot! You can sit on and pose for photos for $5!
Content: This is the main attraction at Stockyards, everyday at 11:30 and 4, you can see the cattle drive. “Cowboys” walk the livestock through the streets.
Content: The atmosphere here was brilliant. There was love music and good food and drinks!
Content: There’s plenty to do here. From exploring the shops to train rides for children!
Day 6 - 20 Feb 2022
Content: This was also a place that was recommended by a lot of other bloggers. Do this if you have time but I would possibly skip it! Don’t follow google maps to get here. The Trinity Trail is located right next to the Margaret Hunt Hill bridge and you CAN walk over it! We did this on our last day!
