Content: On the last day of our Upstate NY trip, we’re heading to the Catskills. Our first stop is Kaaterskill Falls, a two-stage waterfall found at the end of a quick 1.6 mile hike from the parking lot. The parking lot is small & fills up fast so get there early! This is a very popular trail - so arriving before 7:30-8:00 am is ideal. There is an accessible viewing platform only a short hike (0.6 mile round trip) from the parking lot. You can view the falls from three different locations! Climb to the top to have a close up view of the upper falls, hike over some rocks to get close to the lower falls (where we are in this photo), or step back to get an epic view of both the cascading falls! Content: Overlook mountain is a 4.6 mile out & back trail. It took us a little under 3 hours to complete, and it’s labeled as a moderately challenging trail. The views are amazing! It’s a popular trail so you will most likely see many others along the trail. Well that concludes our trip throughout Upstate NY. If you’re looking to extend your trip we would recommend the Adirondack Mountains next! We haven’t been yet but plan to go later this year. Happy traveling!
