Day 1 - 26 Dec 2021
Content: We rented a car while in San Diego and drove it to our hotel.
Content: Freshened up and headed out to explore!
Content: This waterfront village is perfect for dinning and shopping if you want a break from sight seeing! Here we grabbed a bite to eat at San Diego Burger Co. which I highly recommend! After that feel free to explore this cute village by window shopping and admiring the water for a more relaxing day! You can also check out their website to see their upcoming entertainment!
Content: This Museum is a historical naval aircraft carrier located not too far from Seaport Village. I learned so much exploring this museum and my favorite part was seeing the collection of aircrafts on the upper deck!
Content: This in my opinion is the BEST place to watch the sunset! I loved it so much that I actually came here twice during my stay. The park is pretty big so there are several spots to watch the sunset The first time I came we were near The Sunset Cliff Cave which was pretty cool to see! Sunset on this particular day was around 4:50 so we arrived just in time!
Content: Back to the hotel to freshen up before dinner!
Content: The service here was excellent! We were seated outside but it was kind of chilly so they provided us with multiple heaters as water bowls for the dogs that were with us. I ordered the seafood skillet melt which was shrimp, lobster, and scallops sautéed on garlic butter and cream and served over rice. Very delicious 😋
Day 2 - 27 Dec 2021
Content: First stop… crepes!! I recently have been getting into crepes and we found this quaint shop not too far from where we were staying. They also served gelato here which looked to die for but it was too early for that so I ordered a ham and cheese crepe.
Content: This park is pretty big with a lot of options of things to do so we ended walking around and exploring for a decent amount of time. I loved The Spanish Village Art, Botanical Building, and the History Center. They also have a lot of food options but I just got a hot pretzel as a snack! Also, if you plan on driving here arrive early because parking was crazy!
Content: We were all craving hamburgers even though we had some yesterday so we decided to stop at a Jack in the Box because there are not any back in Maryland. We ordered take out and took the food to a beach to eat.
Content: We found some picnic tables by the water and ate our food. We then went down to the water and went for a mini walk to the pier. The sun was out with a light breeze… we couldn’t have asked for better weather ☀️
Content: Because we enjoyed watching the sunset so much the day before we decided to go back to Sunset Cliffs again! The second time, we walked along the path heading south and found stairs that lead down to where the waves crash. This made for a fun adventure and the after glow this night was gorgeous! Next time I would love to come early to find the perfect spot for a picnic and some bubbly!
Day 3 - 28 Dec 2021
Content: Whenever I visit a new city I love finding trendy coffee shops and can’t believe I found one this one! I loved the pop of blue and the coffee was amazing too🥰
Content: Next was time to explore East Village before leaving San Diego. East Village had a lot of shops and dinning options, but my favorite part was all the street art!
Content: On our way out of San Diego we stopped at In-N-Out Burger. This might be an unpopular opinion but I wasn’t a fan and liked Jack in the Box a lot better!
Day 3 - 28 Dec 2021
Content: On our way to LA we stopped in Long Beach and did a fun hike. I loved being active and this was the perfect hike to get my body moving after being in the car for a while. Plus the view was beautiful 😍
Day 3 - 28 Dec 2021
Content: Finally made it to the hotel and all we wanted to do was relax! So we are dinner here and jumped in the pool! I have to say I was very impressed with the whole vibe of this place. Our room opened up to the pool which was convenient and I loved the black and white striped decor🥰
Day 4 - 29 Dec 2021
Content: Probably one of my favorite experiences ever was doing the Warner Brothers tour. I am a huge fan of Ellen and Friends so this was like a dream come true! The tour was one hour guided and about 2 hours unguided for $69.
Content: After the tour we wanted to grab something to eat so we got some hot dogs from Dog Haus and honestly it was probably the best hot dog I have ever had!
Day 4 - 29 Dec 2021
Content: Next it was time to hike to see the Hollywood sign. There are multiple trails to take but we ended up taking one of the easier ones which was the Mulholland Highway Hike. It was about a 2 miles round trip which started at the Hollywood Reservoir parking. If it is full you street parking is also available which is what we ended up doing. Once you get to the view there is a really nice lawn which would be great for a picnic or watching the sunset 🌅
Day 4 - 29 Dec 2021
Content: We arrived back at the hotel to relax and freshen up before dinner.
Content: We decided we wanted to go somewhere of walking distance from our hotel so we decided to walk to this super cute pizzeria. It got really good reviews and I love pizza so we had to try it out! And I have to say it lived up to its expectations so I would definitely add it to your list!
Content: Stoped for frozen yogurt which was a very close walk from Mulberry Street Pizza.
Day 5 - 30 Dec 2021
Content: The West Observatory hike has the BEST view of LA🥾and it’s only a 2.1 mile round trip. However, hiking to the Observatory is all up hill so it was a bit more challenging. It takes you right up to the observatory where you can see the skyline of LA as well as the Hollywood sign🤍We packed sandwiches and ate at the top admiring the view. This also would be a great place to watch the sunset!
Content: After the hike we went to see the stats on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. I think this was more to cross it off my bucket list because honestly it wasn’t that cool and we didn’t stay here for very long. But of course I had to see my girl Kate and the Chinese Theater!
Day 5 - 30 Dec 2021
Content: This was such a cool place to walk around and window shop. We did go into multiple stores but didn’t buy anything because it was a bit out of my price range 😂but still super fun to look at!
Content: The rest of the day was a pool day back at the Hilton! Again, I just loved the old money vibe of this place and could have swam here forever!
