Content: We started of early morning around 7 for our day trip to Petrified Forest National Park from Flagstaff. Our first stop was at Kachina Point, here you can get stunning panoramic views of the Painted Desert. There are no facilities at the point so carry your breakfast.

Content: It was very beautiful building. The volunteer was helpful and had a wealth of knowledge. We had nice free guided tour. Good care was taken of building.

Newspaper Rock

Content: Well worth the stop while driving through the Petrified Forest National Park. We can't walk down to the rocks but the petroglyphs are viewable through scopes they provide.

Blue Mesa

Content: It was a stunning short hike, we saw colorful mountains from above and below. Carry a good camera as close up pictures taken here comes out incredible. The path is wheelchair accessible.

Agate Bridge

Content: The long Petrified tree is very interesting. It has beautiful views and great reads along the way. Stop by the office to find out more. There is a small trail off to the right to another gorgeous canyon overlook.

Jasper Forest

Content: A very panoramic spot with so much petrified wood in one area. No bathrooms or other facilities. There are no defined trail, so it requires some trail finding.

Content: Unbelievable place for pictures. We saw so many beautiful rocks and colors. A little busy for my taste but glad to have seen. It was very easy paved trail.

Giant Logs

Content: It was very convenient being right behind the visitor center. This place is great to see the largest petrified pieces. Be careful before leaving as this petrified wood shards can be harsh on your tires.

Content: Beautiful and fairly easy desert hike with spectacular views and the place is littered with huge chunks of petrified wood. Round hike to agate house is about 2 miles. Even kids enjoyed knowing the history and doing easy hike.

Content: After full day hiking and sight seeings we head to this restaurant and kids loved food there, especially fries and onion rings. They had half n half options for many dishes. Tacos and burgers were also delicious. We did pack our food for the day but couldn't resist eating here.
