Day 1 - 28 May 2019
Content: Started our journey towards Black Canyon, East Rim, which was a 2hr drive from south rim. As Colorado is favorable for grape growing, we visited few vine trails on our way.
Content: Leaving vine trails behind, we reached Montrose Municipality, this is the place were we got Colarado temporary fishing License. Steeping down we saw Gunnison River where we took a fishing experience.
Content: After enjoying short hike we went further for a inner canyon taste, the hike was tremendous need precaution small but tricky.
Content: Had a short hike to the east rim camp side, The hike was chalenging.
Content: We reached campsite and claimed our camp as this place only allows 15 tents on first come first served basis. Later at night there was one ranger night program which provided information on why darkness is important for wildlife and vegetation.
Content: Had our Dinner, we had packed food for our entire journey as there are no restaurants or shops.
Day 2 - 29 May 2019
Content: Started our morning visiting South Rim Visitor center from East rim to gain knowledge about the history, geology and ecology of the park, And also took a rangers hike tour.
Content: Headed further to Curecanti National Recreation, where we had a joy ride in boat to Gunnison River which took about 2hr through the Black Canyon, the best place for knowledge of the history, geology and wildlife of the area. Need to have prior booking.
Content: Taking a 1hr drive from Curecanti National Recreation we reached back to Montrose after spending our unforgettable 48 hours at the Black Canyon.
