Day 1 - 21 Feb 2020
Content: It was friday, so we chose to leave early - considering we will hit bayarea commute traffic. Perfect weather to be in SF. We found metered parking on the street across Pier 4 - which was about 15 mins walk. But the credit-card didn't work on the meter. fortunately - we had brought enough quarters for parking use. We boarded the Alcatraz cruise from here. We got tickets online in advance; must do it - they get sold out fast.
Content: We got on the cruise to Alcatraz; quick 20 mins ride to the island
Content: Must site to visit in SF to see and learn about this historic monument. It gets bit cold after 3 pm; so glad we took noon boarding. Alcatraz audio walking tour was included in cruise tickets. the tour was perfectly paced; with navigation to go back-and-forth. Even my 6 year old enjoyed the tour and history around this site.
Content: Walked over to Pier 39, which is just next door for lunch. Pier 39 is the main attraction among the piers, with many shops and food options. Hanging out at this pier was lot of fun. Must go place for SF.
Content: quick 30 mins stop to visit around and have lunch at boudin
Content: Sea lions!! Photo opp.. pretty awesome to see sealions sun bathing and shouting ?? right on pier 39, so quick 15-20 mins stop. kiddos really loved it..

Content: This is a street that has been made famous by movies. It is steep and windy, amazing drive down, going over the bumps! it’s a free experience not to be missed. leading to Lombard is little tricky; as the streets are steep uphill - stay prepared.
Content: We stayed at Hyatt Quick conveniently located on Union Square. Rooms were nice with great views; we got lucky with higher floors - think we were on 33. Safe neighborhod. Good restaurants and hangout area.
Content: Union square had a nice art gallery exhibition. good time chatting with local artists. We grabbed quick coffee begals from a Starbucks nearby.
Content: Everyone was starving for tasty food. We earlier thought of going to Shizen sushi but; they were booked. This place truly amazed me; the food was delicious and ambiance was decent.. it hit the spot for our family..
