Day 1 - 1 Apr 2019
Content: This place is amazing, it has everything here. You do not need to leave this resort to do any activities because there is so much to do and rent here without leaving. Would love to come back again!
Content: This wildlife refuge is a satellite of the National Key Deer Refuge and was established under the Endangered Species Act of 1973.It covers 6,700 acres. We found a variety of habitats including salt marshes, tropical hardwood hammock, mangrove forests, and more. Some species we found here are the American crocodile, Key Largo woodrat, and the Schaus’ Swallowtail butterfly.
Content: This state park is unique and such a worthwhile stop for those on a Miami to Key West road trip. John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park is the first undersea park in the United States and it spans approximately 70 nautical miles.
Content: A spontaneous stop at Mrs. Mac’s turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. The hostess was very friendly and welcoming to our party. We had our dog with us and we easily sat outside where a fresh dog bowl of cold water was waiting for him. Our waiter Nick was very friendly, professional and attentive. Our dinner was delicious, starting with the conch fritters. All the selections were well prepared and tasty. Try the hogfish, very fresh. We bought a key lime pie to go because we were too full to eat it after diner and we’ll enjoy it at home. I will certainly return here and will recommend to family and friends.
Day 2 - 2 Apr 2019
Content: The driving distance from Key Largo to Marathon is merely an hour and four minutes and this will give you ample time to stop and explore places along the way.
Day 2 - 2 Apr 2019
Content: We travel to the Keys quite often and have stayed at numerous places. We have found Tranquility Bay to be hands down the best place to stay. With one of the only sandy beaches in the area our kids are occupied all day. The restaurant is top notch and the staff is always accommodating. It's the only place we will stay moving forward.
Day 2 - 2 Apr 2019
Content: You will need a boat/kayak to visit this Florida state park. It is a park teeming with tropical hardwood hammock and it will transport you back to the 1930s. Please note that it is only open from Thursday until Monday from 8am until 5pm.
Content: The park is formed from Key Largo limestone (fossilized coral) and today you can visit the 8-foot high quarry walls to learn more about the history of ancient coral that is preserved in the park. The park is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
