Day 1 - 29 Feb 2020

Old Town

Kissimmee, Old Town

Content: Arrived after a long flight with about ten hours delay. After a long night of sleep and a chill day, we decided to go check out Old Town and grab something to eat. For us it was right next to our hotel (Seralago) at walking distance, so we went by almost every other night to have drinks, eat something, check out the stores and enjoy the great ambiance and live music!

Seralago Hotel & Suites Main Gate East

Kissimmee, Seralago Hotel & Suites Main Gate East

Content: We stayed at Seralago, which was amazing location wise. The rooms were a bit outdated and it definitely could use some renovations, but other than that, we loved our stay there. The staff was really nice and we especially enjoyed the little restaurant in the hotel, where we had our coffee in the morning and planned out our day.

Character Corner

Kissimmee, Character Corner

Content: Another great thing about where our hotel was located, was that is was surrounded by many stores and outlets selling Disney Merch. My favourite was Character Corner, because I collect Disney pins and this place was Disney Pin heaven!

Location: Lake Buena Vista

Day 2 - 1 Mar 2020

Disney Springs

Lake Buena Vista, Disney Springs
Lake Buena Vista, Disney Springs

Content: The next day we went to check out Disney Springs and get out tickets for the parks. I hadn’t been to Disney Springs since it was still Downtown Disney. It’s such an entertaining place, with lots of shops, places to eat and drink and an overall magical atmosphere! I also loved taking pictures for my Instagram here. Great way to spend your non-park days.

Planet Hollywood at Disney Springs™

Lake Buena Vista, Planet Hollywood at Disney Springs™

Content: We had lunch at Planet Hollywood, a restaurant we love going to back at Disneyland Paris. The service and food was great (I had one of the best caesar salads ever, which says a lot, because I love caesar salads!) and we also had so much fun spotting all the different movie props in the restaurant.

Location: Orlando

Day 2 - 1 Mar 2020

Coca-Cola Store

Orlando, Coca-Cola Store

Content: After lunch, we went and checked out the Coca Cola store. There were many great Coca Cola themed souvenirs and we ended the day with a delicious Cherry Cola float at the rooftop bar! It was very busy and the line was long, but it was definitely worth the wait!

Magic Kingdom

Lake Buena Vista, Magic Kingdom

Content: The first park we visited was the magic kingdom. It was truly magical coming back here after ten years. I personally love the mixture been old, classic rides and shows (how the Tiki Room and Carousel of Progress are almost historical artefacts) and the new ones. It gives the parks a sense of nostalgia without getting boring. Something else that stands out as opposed to other parks I’ve visited, is the constant focus on entertainment. There’s always something going on, just like there always seems something new to see or try and you just have to keep coming back.

Location: Orlando

Day 3 - 2 Mar 2020

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

Orlando, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

Content: One of the first rides we did was The many adventures of Winnie the Pooh, which I very clearly remember from my childhood. This dark ride is perfect for all ages; because who doesn’t love Winnie and all of his adorable friends?

Country Bear Jamboree

Orlando, Country Bear Jamboree

Content: One thing I was most excited about was revisiting County Bear Jamboree. I remember it being one of my favourite things about the parks as a kid. We were welcomed by a very sweet cast member who, when he saw the excitement on my face, let us sit at special places in the front (the show was not full at all and these places were not occupied by others). When the bears started singing those sweet country songs, it took me right back to my childhood (only this time around now, I actually got the jokes. This show is obviously targeted more at the adults in the room).

Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress

Orlando, Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress

Content: If you think classic Disney, you think Carousel of progress. I don’t remember ever seeing this show and I really enjoyed it! It might be a bit outdated, but that’s also what gives it it’s charm. It’s also a very good opportunity to give your feet some rest from walking around and cool down in the hot Florida weather.

Columbia Harbour House

Orlando, Columbia Harbour House

Content: This time around, we had lunch at Columbia Harbour House, because one of our lovely Uber drivers recommended the lobster roll to us! This place has the perfect theming and we got a spot at the window, looking out over Liberty Square. And was our Uber driver right about the lobster roll being delicious? Yes he was.

Lake Buena Vista, Disney's Hollywood Studios

Content: This was the second park we visited and was my fiancés favourite. If you’re a StarWars fan, you can’t miss out on it! Even I, as someone who has never seen a StarWars movie in my life, was blown away by the new rides. Besides the new StarWars land, there’s plenty of other amazing rides and shows to keep you entertained for the day. Also I would 100% recommend you check out the nighttime show “Fantasmic!”. It will be the highlight of your day.

Day 4 - 3 Mar 2020

Toy Story Midway Mania!

Orlando, Toy Story Midway Mania!

Content: One of our favourite rides to do together is Toy Story Mania. The first time we did this ride together was actually in Tokyo Disneyland, so we were very glad to find this ride in Orlando too! In my opinion this is one the most fun rides to do, because it has an element of competition in it. The technology in this ride is really advanced and immersive. This time, I was so close to finally beating my fiancé in this game, but of course he won from me in the last round... oh well! Just one more reason to come back to this park again.

Backlot Express

Orlando, Backlot Express

Content: We had our lunch at the backlot express, which is a great spot to cool down and take a break. I actually was not feeling great this day, so I choose some bread and hummus to eat instead of something more heavy. It was so delicious! We actually liked this spot so much, that we ended the day with a drink and a snack here too.

Location: Lake Buena Vista

Day 4 - 3 Mar 2020

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

Lake Buena Vista, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

Content: Now I am not a huge StarWars fan, but let me tell you: Rise of the resistance is one of the best rides I’ve ever been on! This ride is unlike any other, because it really takes you on a quest. It’s not just a dark ride: it’s an experience. The cast members who are working on this ride, don’t break character for one second and really make you feel like you are in the story. 10 out of 10, all the hype is actually deserved.

Location: Orlando

Day 5 - 4 Mar 2020

Epcot

Orlando, Epcot
Orlando, Epcot

Content: My personal favourite park we visited during this trip was Epcot! Mainly because this park feels like the most unique out of all four parks. It seems like it’s mostly focused on education and also has more to offer for adults. Next to this, we visited during one of its festivals, which meant we got to try special food items and buy themed merch. If you plan on visiting Epcot, I highly suggest you do so during one of its festivals.

Location: Lake Buena Vista

Day 5 - 4 Mar 2020

Frozen Ever After

Lake Buena Vista, Frozen Ever After

Content: One of the newest rides added to the Walt Disney Resort was Frozen Ever After. This dark ride normally has an incredibly long wait due to the popularity of the movies. We got lucky with about a 45 minute wait on a pretty busy day. I was really impressed by the animatronics on this ride and the overall look of this ride.

Location: Orlando

Day 5 - 4 Mar 2020

Living with the Land

Orlando, Living with the Land

Content: The next ride we did was Living with the land, a boot cruise that focuses on the technology of agriculture, which is shown through different working greenhouses. Like in the Tropics greenhouse, where they show all kinds of exotic foods, the Aquacell where they focus on fish farming, the Temperate Greenhouse, where they show all kinds of crops (including a lot of Mickey shaped ones!) and many more.

Soarin' Around the World

Orlando, Soarin' Around the World

Content: One of my favourite rides at this park Soarin’. This is one of the other rides I clearly remember from my childhood. I remember my family and I being so blown away by this ride, that we stood in line for it multiple times. Coming back to it about ten years later, it definitely did not disappoint.

Walt Disney Imagineering Presents: The EPCOT Experience

Orlando, Walt Disney Imagineering Presents: The EPCOT Experience

Content: One other cool thing we got to see when visiting Epcot was the Walt Disney Imagineering presents the Epcot Experience. This experience shows all the future plans they have for Epcot. As huge Disney park fanatics, my fiancé and I were so excited seeing all the developments they plan on doing in the future. We definitely have to come back to see, when it all is done!

World Showcase

Orlando, World Showcase

Content: One of my favourite things about this park is the world showcase, which takes you on a journey through eleven different countries. Each pavilion is decorated completely like the country it’s supposed to represent, complete with food and merch that fits this country. I just love walking around, feeling like I traveled all over the world. Another really fun thing is the cast members that work in each pavilion being from the country it represents! The exact places they are from are on their name tags, so we had many lovely conversations about those places (many of which we could say we visited before!)

Disney's Animal Kingdom

Bay Lake, Disney's Animal Kingdom
Bay Lake, Disney's Animal Kingdom

Content: The last park we visited was Disney’s animal kingdom. If you love nature and animals, this is the park for you! This park has an amazing ambiance and is aesthetically one of the prettiest parks I’ve seen. It also was the first time I got to see the Avatar themed land, Pandora. This land has some of the best imagineering, I’ve ever seen. The attention to detail is out of this world and especially at night I was blown away by its beauty!

Location: Orlando

Day 6 - 5 Mar 2020

Avatar Flight of Passage

Orlando, Avatar Flight of Passage

Content: In animal kingdom, we went straight for Avatar flight of passage. We heard a lot of incredible stories about this ride and honestly: it did not disappoint one bit. This ride is quite like Soarin’, it gives you the sensation of flying through beautiful landscapes, only it adds to it with other special effects, lifting it to the next level.

Location: Bay Lake

Day 6 - 5 Mar 2020

Dinosaur

Bay Lake, Dinosaur

Content: What I remember from this ride, when I was a kid, was my sister coming out of it crying her eyes out. I used to tease her all the time about that, but getting to ride it again in my twenties, I now understand why she was so upset. This ride is scary! Even I, as a full grown adult, jumped in my seat a few times because of this ride. However; that only means it’s doing it’s job right, since it’s very immersive and you forget that you are not actually being chased by dinosaurs.

It's Tough to be a Bug!® .

Bay Lake, It's Tough to be a Bug!® .

Content: It’s tough to be a bug! This was my favourite show when I was a kid and I was very excited to take my fiancé to this. Everything was exactly how I remembered it and it’s still one of my favourites. This show uses 4D technology to tell a fun little story with the characters of one of my favourite Pixar movies: it’s a bugs life! Also a little scary, there was a few cries from small children in the room, but other than that, super fun.

Location: Orlando

Day 6 - 5 Mar 2020

Kilimanjaro Safaris

Orlando, Kilimanjaro Safaris

Content: Disney animals: Next to the safari you can take in this park (which is amazing!) there’s also plenty of other opportunities to see animals. We walked around a lot, just spotting animals and talking with the lovely cast members who had a lot of fun facts to tell about the animals! I personally love this mix between fun and education!
