Day 1 - 21 Sep 2019
Content: We took one stop flight of Delta Airlines from John F. Kennedy International Airport to Kona International Airport, Hawaii. Which, was of 12 hour 28 min journey. The airport is small, which is good because it is normally not very crowded. Lines and waiting times are usually short. The staff is also very helpful.
Content: It was 20 min far from Kona International Airport. Very nice hotel with their staffs as its greatest asset. Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The hotel is clean and well maintained.
Day 2 - 22 Sep 2019
Content: It took us 1 hour 51 min. Excellent place to visit for day hiking. Hiking range from easy to strenuous.
Content: It took us 53 min from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. This was a great place for a visit and should not be missed. Very beautiful... easy hiking around the falls. Bathroom facilities are there, easy access and pretty falls. Morning is the best time to view rainbow.
Day 3 - 23 Sep 2019
Content: Akaka Falls are the highlight of Akaka Falls State Park. One can see falls after a pleasant and short hike from the parking. Try not to rush ahead to see the waterfall but take your time and enjoy the scenery.Watch out for lizards and other creatures on the walkway.
Content: We were feeling hungry so we decided to go for lunch in Cafe Pesto Hilo Bay. Which was 22 min far from Akaka Falls State Park. Cafe Pesto is in an old plantation style building in old Hilo town. The lunch and drink menu are very nice with many great choices.
Content: It took us 1 hour from Cafe Pesto Hilo Bay. It was a great experience. Hiking down is extremely easy than going up. It is totally worth it. The weather is humid and warm, even if it is cloudy. The road is steep and some parts of the road are slippery.
Day 4 - 24 Sep 2019
Content: After having breakfast we left for Kailua-Kona, which was 1 hour and 18 min far from Hotel Honoka Club. A great beach area to chill! Sand mixed with lava rocks.here is no camping in this Park. There is no entrance fee. Water and restrooms are available at the Visitor's Center.
Content: It took us 9 min from Kaloko-Honokohau National Historical Park. Awesome place to learn about the royal history of the island! You will be asked to take your shoes off and greeted by a lovely woman, she can give you information and answer to any questions you have. The view from the house out to the ocean is beautiful and relaxing. Grounds are very well kept and clean.
Content: It was 4 min far from Hulihe'e Palace. The show was great and it was really fun to learning some Polynesian history. The food is delicious and plentiful.They told the story of the triangle of the islands.
Content: The hotel location was very nice. They serve delicious food and pleasing service.
Content: It was just a minute far from Island Breeze Luau - He 'Ohana Kakou. Friendly check in, informative staff. Maids were attentive as well as the rooms were clean.
Day 5 - 25 Sep 2019
Content: Still there is more to explore in Kailua-Kona so after breakfast we left for Mokuaikaua Church. It was 5 minute far from Courtyard by Marriott King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel. I love history and this church is living history. Great service and met real people doing God's work. Beautiful construction with lava walls with crushed coral for the mortar.
Content: It was 5 min far from Mokuaikaua Church. This landmark was very cool to see and learn about during an authentic luau we went to. Amazing place where we attended the Luau festival! The performances were spectacular and the food was delicious.
Content: It took us 9 min from Kamakahonu National Historic Landmark. Must seen destination for a art lover. They maybe often have special showings once or twice- every two or three months.
Content: The restaurant have ocean views. They served delicious hot pizzas and other dishes in nice manner, got amazed by their service it was awesome.
Day 6 - 26 Sep 2019
Content: An amazing public beach and campground on the eastern side of the Big Island, about halfway between Hilo and Honoka’a. You’ll need a camping permit if you’re planning to stay at a normal tent site. Besides the beautiful rocky beaches and lush evergreen trees, there is a large green meadow and several barbecue pits in and around the camping area.
Content: We felt hungry after visiting Laupahoehoe Beach Park so we gone for Papaloa Country Store and Cafe for lunch. Overly modest place. Food, coffee, drinks, dessert are all excellent and very well made. Gorgeous view if you sit by the window.
Content: It was 12 min away from Papa'aloa Country Store and Cafe. Had a great time at the Botanical gardens. Really nice view of a waterfall, luscious walking paths with well-labelled plants. Enjoyed the maze and rainbow road path.
Content: This hotel is in a beautiful location. We had a room with balcony looking over the bay and across to the town. Room was large, comfortable and well appointed with chairs and small tables. Staffs were friendly and helpful.
Day 7 - 27 Sep 2019
Content: We took one stop flight of Delta Airlines from Kona International Airport to John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York, which was of 15 hour 55 min. We had a good experience. Check in was great, without a problem. The staff is friendly and professional. The airport is clean, lots of shops. Our flight was also very comfortable.
