Day 1 - 20 Mar 2019
Content: We took flight from John F. Kennedy International Airport to Martin Miguel de Guemes International Airport. The journey was of 15 hours 30 minutes. Martin Miguel de Guemes International Airport is a small airport. The facilities are good. The checking was really quick. The airport is well organised.
Content: Del Antiguo Convento hotel is 30 minutes away from the airport. The hotel is centrally located. The park is located nearby. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The place is hygienic. The rent was also reasonable. The breakfast given was yummy and the staff were very cooperative.We had a great stay here.
Content: Cathedral is an amazing old church. It is heart of Salta. One of the best place to walk around. Here the Lord of miracles and Virgin is located. The best time to visit the cathedral is 15 September. Many historical pictures are preserved. We can get get a lot of knowledge about history of Catholics. It was worth visiting.
Content: History Museum of the North is historical place where different art, religious, from different eras of Salta Province is well preserved. The only problem here is that nothing is written in English. The collection of coins is kept very well. The stone patio is huge and the carriage display in background is stunning. The view from the balcony was amazing.
Content: Chirimoya is great restaurant for vegan or vegetarian people. The decoration of the dishes was amazing and the food tasted delicious. It was bit expensive. The service gets really slow when the restaurant is full of people.
Content: San Bernardo is an amazing place to visit because we can have very nice view of entire Saltas. There are various shops where creative things are sold. We can buy them to remember this place as a memory. We can hike up or take the teleferico. It takes an hour to hike up but was an easy hike. There was artificial waterfall so that we can take rest in the shade and can click pictures. We had great experience.
Day 2 - 21 Mar 2019
Content: Campo Quijano is town in Salta. This is a museum that is managed by the local people. Though they don't know English, but they manage very well to make us understand and give us knowledge about past. The local people are very friendly.
Content: It is amazing to go to traditional northern excursions,where we can spend time just differently. It offers us so many activities to do. We can visit an old colonial house and also can visit the museum of rural people. It even offers horseback riding, an ecological walk and so many things to do.
Content: Quebrada del Toro is very nice place to visit if looking for landscapes. The scenery was so stunning. It was really very colorful. The atmosphere was very cool. We had an amazing time.
Content: This drive is worth to go. It is flat, large, white landscape, which is so beautiful. This place is really eye catchy. The white sand looks like ice skating from the road. The street food was also so amazing. We indeed enjoyed this part of the trip.
Day 3 - 22 Mar 2019
Content: The duration from Salinas Grandes to Purmamarca is 10 hours. The hotel setup is wonderful. There are small cottages. We could see mountains from the windows. The service even was excellent. The network was worst. It was great adventurous place. The pool was also very good. We had a great night stay here.
Content: It is declared as UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is also known for its natural wonders.The mountains look just fantastic. The mountains are layered above each other which are rocky making it look spectacular. Many battles against Spain were fought here. It is said that Andean families have lived here for long time.
Content: Paleta del Pintor is clearly visible from the road. It is another wonder of northern Argentina. It has very impressive valley. The mountain hill is very colorful. The panoramic picture turns out to be perfect from here. It is wonderful gods creation.
Content: Calle Peatonal is great for local street shopping. The place is amazing for buying local things. We bought so many local things made by the villagers and they were made so uniquely and perfectly. There were local street food shops also. We ate the food that the local people eat daily. it was really tasty and it was tiresome day indeed.
Day 4 - 23 Mar 2019
Content: los Cardones National Park is located in the center-west of Salta. The place was quite naturally and is free from pollution.There were also many artisan tents that were selling handicrafts. They preserve the local cactus referred to as cardones. We also saw guanacos and wild donkeys. The landscape is beautiful full of cactus.
Content: Calchaqui Valleys is known for their rugged landscapes, and striking red rock formations .They are also known for their high altitudes. The road to Cuesta del Obispo is unforgettable. The scenery is so wonderful. Photographs turn out to be best during sunset. It is worth going there.
Content: La Cefira is famous for its pasta. The food was just best in taste. The owner was very good in nature. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. one of the best dinner we had in Salta.
Day 5 - 24 Mar 2019
Content: It takes around 3 hours to reach La Garganta del Diablo. The entire route to La Garganta del Diablo is worth enjoying. It is difficult to climb the rock and need expert advise for easy climbing. The natural formation of rock is just amazing.
Content: Winery Nanni is a nice place for having food. They also have small garden which seems to be like swimming pool. The restaurant is compact, but the interior designing is fantastic. The bodega setup was a new concept i came across. The wines were also good, because they give only organic wine. The food was delicious and our stomachs were full.
Content: Quebrada del Rio de las Conchas is a beautiful place to stop and click pictures. The scenery is worth seeing and changes in the rock formation, different colors makes this place more attractive. But the road is very narrow and is difficult to drive. We were amazed by this natural beauty.
Day 6 - 25 Mar 2019
Content: To reach Martin Miguel de Guemes International Airport it took around 3 hours. We took flight from Martin Miguel de Guemes International Airport to John F. Kennedy International Airport. The journey was of 15 hours 30 minutes. We had a great time enjoying the colorful scenery. The trip was very memorable.
