Content: Wasai Hotel made us feel like a forest lodge. Located at amazing location. The rooms were very well maintained and we had a great time there.

Content: From Puerto Maldonado to Tambopata we took a motorized canoe and duration for the same was 3 hours.

Content: Tambopata has the world record for the most bird sightings in one area. We learned about the unique flora and fauna and how local people use medicinal plants and other forest plant resources. And enjoyed welcome drink from the local people.

Content: Before having dinner, we had a night walk which was just fantastic. The fauna was completely different in comparison to day. We enjoyed spending our night with the nature.

Jungle Tours
Content: It was just amazing experience knowing about different wildlife. We saw many animals like sloth, monkeys, tarantula, otters, etc. The life between jungle is indeed different.

Content: The lunch was provided which included rice and juice which was good in taste. We enjoyed eating in a different way with the local people.
Tres Chimbadas Lake
Content: To get to this lake it was really a great adventure. We even saw crested owl and an ocelot on the way to lake. The lake is home to thousands of bird. Excellent place for family outing.

Day 3 - 27 Sep 2019

Content: While we were staying with the nature and locals we tried Ayahuasca, which is made by boiling a vine and leaf together for hours until the liquid becomes a thicker consistency. Even tried Kambo which had medicinal benefits.

Content: After tiresome day, we were provided lunch which was freshly made. We tried different food items and fruits and staying here really made us positive.

Content: After taking rest for some time, we started enjoying our last day of trip with the monkeys and different species of birds. When staying with the nature, the life is filled with happiness.

Content: We went back to the hotel and had lunch. We took rest for sometime and then we checked out. After that we headed to the airport.
Puerto Maldonado Airport
Content: We took Latam airways which was flight from Puerto Maldonado airport to New York John F. Kennedy airport. The flight duration was about 12 hours 30 mins. The trip was amazing staying with the locals and knowing a lot of things wildlife.
