Day 1 - 23 Nov 2019
Content: Jorge Chavez International Airport is located in Lima so it will be both the first and the last stop of your trip in Perù. To visit well the main districts of the city (Miraflores and Barranco with its street art and murales) you need at least one day.
Content: Tanta is a very famous restaurant chain in Perù. I recommend to taste Chevice, peruvian national dish!
Day 1 - 23 Nov 2019
Content: During my staying in Lima I’ve slept in Casa Andina, located in Miraflores area. I recommend you to choose an accomodation in this central area too ☺️
Day 2 - 24 Nov 2019
Content: The bus to Paracas and the Ballestas Islands usually leaves at 3:30/4:00 AM from Lima and takes approximately 4 hours to arrive in Paracas. The boat excursion to Ballestas Islands takes 2 hours and give you to chance to admir this small group of lands off the city of Pisco, in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. The whole area forms the Paracas Nature Reserve inside which live Humboldt penguins, fur seals and sea lions… as well as mysterious lines such as the Candelabra.
Day 2 - 24 Nov 2019
Content: Huacachina is a small desert oasis located a short distance from the city of Ica (about 1 hour and 30 minutes by bus from Paracas). The village is completely surrounded by sand dunes and is a popular destination for young people!
Day 3 - 25 Nov 2019
Content: From Ica (Huacachina) to Nazca there are about 3 hours by bus but, alas, there is no other way to reach the famous desert area of Nazca, a destination that I consider truly unmissable. The Nazca lines are very particular geoglyphs traced on the ground whose origin dates back to almost 2 thousand years. The flight takes about 30 minutes and starts at the small airport of Nazca. I recommend that you do this as long as you have not eaten in the previous two hours and are prepared for some turbulence
Day 4 - 26 Nov 2019
Content: The Ciudad Bianca del Peru is a quiet and loving town perched at 2300 meters above sea level, at the foot of the El Misti volcano.
Content: Absolutely recommended is a walk in the historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and visits to the Plaza des Armas and the Monasterio de Santa Catalina.
Content: If you are looking for a place to stay, take note of the Costana 720 Hotel Boutique: wonderful rooms, a very sweet welcome, super hearty breakfasts and a terrace overlooking the whole city.
Day 5 - 27 Nov 2019
Content: From Arequipa to Puno there are about 6 and a half hours of travel, all uphill. The road that connects the two places passes through the steppe, the natural habitat of llamas and alpacas, and is nothing short of surreal.
Content: The entire area of Puno is dominated by the presence of the sacred Lake Titicaca , the highest navigable freshwater body in the world, which hosts a series of picturesque islands and links, in a natural way, Peru to Bolivia. Absolutely not to be missed are the excursions to the Uros Islands
Day 5 - 27 Nov 2019
Content: I recommend also an excursion to Taquile Island and a walk around the historic center and the Plaza des Armas.
Day 6 - 28 Nov 2019
Content: The journey from Puno to Cusco takes about 6 hours. The imperial capital is, without a doubt, the most coveted destination in the whole country. Absolutely not to be missed the walk in the historic center.
Day 6 - 28 Nov 2019
Content: During my stay in Cusco I’ve stayed in this amazing hotel located in the center of Cusco. So amazing!
Day 7 - 29 Nov 2019
Content: Rainbow Mountain, also known as the “ Mountain of Seven Colors ”, stands at 5200 meters high in the heart of the Andes. It is an unparalleled natural wonder that attracts thousands and thousands of tourists every year.
Content: I recommend to taste Pisco Sour and crayfish!
Day 8 - 30 Nov 2019
Content: Machu Picchu is the next destination of this itinerary but ai recommend to make a stop in Pisas Archeological Area.
Day 8 - 30 Nov 2019
Content: For my night before Machu Picchu I stayed in a very beautiful glamping located in Ollantaytambo! So amazing 🤩
Day 9 - 1 Dec 2019
Content: If you go to Peru and don't see Machu Picchu, you can't really say you've been to Peru! The sacred mountain of the Incas, one of the seven wonders of the modern world, stands at 2430 meters above sea level in the Urubamba valley. You can get there either on foot through the Inca trails or by train (the PeruRail direct tourist train leaves from Cusco, stops in Ollantaytambo, and takes about 3 hours to get to Machu Picchu station - from there you need to take the shuttle to reach the gates of the site).
Day 9 - 1 Dec 2019
Content: The best way to come back from Cusco to Lima is a domestic flight ✈️
