Content: The airport was small and the commercial services were limited, but more options to eat and drink. There is an electronic system for the verification process that makes it easy. We took breakfast at the airport and started our journey to Colonia del Sacramento.

Content: This was a smoke-free hotel with all amenities.Good luggage storage facility was available. Front desk staff welcomed us politely. Their service was good and the rooms are clean and neat with comfortable space.
Content: We moved from hotel to Viejo Barrio, which was located in front of the Cathedral, in the historic quarter. We ate pasta- it was very light and tasty. They serve fresh food with salads. Their service was good, but we need to wait for a while.
Content: We went for an historical walk to Barrio Historico, best place to visit. We simply wandered the streets and enjoyed the atmosphere of the town. Beware of dogs on the street. We got many signature photos in front of old buildings, vintage cars and little shops in unique style.
Content: We returned to the hotel, the restaurant provided variety of dishes. We had dinner at the hotel by enjoying garden view. Amazing property with outdoor pool and limited parking space. Food was OK but not up to our expectation. They provided grills too.
Day 2 - 21 Nov 2019
Content: We drove for a short distance to reach El Faro de Colonia, Lighthouse. It attract visitors with its unique structure with a square base and a circular tower of white masonry and a dome with red and white radical strips. We get stunning view of city from the top.
Content: This is one of the oldest churches in the country. UNESCO had declared the site as a World Heritage Site. Basilica of the Blessed Sacrament is also known as the Mother Church. It was destroyed and rebuilt several times, but still remains as the center of attraction.
Content: The restaurant was striking from the street itself. The location was perfect for a feast. Great ambience and the walls were filled with interesting artworks. Enjoyed lunch with a mixture of crunchy and creamy variety of dishes.
Content: The Museum of Portuguese was located at the historic center of the city. The building was quite different from others in its structure; it has an attractive ceiling with tiles, woods, and stones. In the museum, we found old objects, like furniture, clothes, and ornaments of Portuguese people.
Content: The evening was the best time to visit this place. The view of the sunset from the banks of river Rio de la Plata was highly recommended to watch. The river becomes intensely red and orange, while you can see the skyscrapers far in the background. Walking along the water was pleasurable and we got a glimpse of a lighthouse, and the tallest buildings around. There were a large number of restaurants and bars available to take break. We finished our dinner there.
Content: We returned to the hotel. It was a simple day with a lot of experiences. At night the townscape from the hotel gave a romantic feel.

Content: We had a buffet breakfast at the hotel and checked out. We headed towards the first destination of the day by car.

Content: It is the largest city in Uruguay, Montevideo, and Uruguay as a whole is the most progressive places in South America. It was a pretty affordable and perfect destination. We had lunch on the way to the hotel.
Content: We went Ibis Styles Montevideo Hotel. The location is ideal for accommodation.The hotel offers accommodation with a restaurant, parking space, and free WiFi for a great deal. The rooms are furnished and equipped with a TV, a wardrobe and a desk. We took some time to chill out around hotel.
Content: After lunch, we visited two breweries in Montevideo to taste nonindustrial beers in a fun environment. The driver dropped us to the beer venues from the hotel. We tasted yummy craft beers and explore the place worth for money. The trip introduces us to Uruguay's best craft beers.
Content: Our driver dropped us back to the hotel. We had dinner from the restaurant. They presented a great buffet dinner, variety of dishes available with drinks. Enjoyed dinner in night light.
Day 4 - 23 Nov 2019
Content: After breakfast, we started our walking tour to cover the main areas in the city and old town. It was a Free Walking Tour through Montevideo´s old city. We came to know about the history and present of the city. We learned about the most important monuments of the neighborhood and typical Uruguayan customs.
Content: Our tour started at Plaza Independencia. It is a significant square with a lot of importance. We visited Artigas’ Mausoleum and learned about his life and interesting facts printed on the surrounding walls. The mausoleum is located in the center of the square, under the monument. On the way, we get a chance to see Puerta de la Ciudadela, Gateway to the Citadel. Teatro Solis, is also the most treasured place in the city.
Content: It is the oldest plaza in the city, which is the most admirable spot. Then we spotted Matriz Church, Plaza Zabala, and Sarandi – it is a beautiful pedestrian walkway with lots of shops and some beautiful old buildings.
Content: We ate a classic Uruguayan lunch and the traditional drink at Mercado del Puerto. Their traditional drink is a bottle of medio y medio, which is champagne mixed with white wine.
Content: It was a typical old fashioned market with stalls and eateries. Each stall displayed with delicious meats and Pamplonas.We had an awesome experience. We saw many restaurants with seats available all around in an open counter. The streets were lively with markets and shops.
Content: Walking in the streets made us tired, so we returned to the hotel. We relaxed and had dinner in the room.
Day 5 - 24 Nov 2019
Content: After a luxurious breakfast, we headed towards Plaza Independencia to cover few more main squares along with lot of shopping sites. First we went to Museo del Tango.
Content: Museo del Tango is the place where La Cumparsita, the most famous tango, played for the first time. The place was filled with history and culture. The interior was wood finished, with old-fashioned hobs and dimmed lights. It will be kept open every day from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Content: On the way back we saw a small castle in the middle of the city. It is a museum that gives details about the building and the life story of Castillo Pittamiglio. He was the person who built and lived in the castle. Now it was transformed into a museum. We took stunning photos as well.
Content: It was a good restaurant with lot of options to choose. Great service provided and they serve food quickly. They often provide great desert options.
Content: We felt it was a waste of time, but good place for photography lovers. Centro de Fotografia de Montevideo displays photography of both modern and historic, over many floors. They also exhibits some famous photographer's cameras. We passed through the glass-doors and entered into the world of photography.
Content: It is the wonderful sight at the street corner in Montevideo. The Fuente los Candados is the fountain of locks, city’s most immoral symbols of love. It is the place where couples seal their eternal love with a padlock. It is a famous custom through out the European countries. The fountain was protected with metallic rail.
Content: The building was located at the edge of the city. The place was transformed from an old jail to the centre for art exhibitions. The interior of the building appeared as a mixture of prison and art centre.
Content: It was one of the high rated restaurant situated at the heart of the city. It was crowded, so we waited for some time for a table. The food was tasty. They presented food with salad and dips. Live music played at the corner made atmosphere great.
Day 6 - 25 Nov 2019
Content: We checked out hotel and headed towards Punta del Diablo. It took long road travel to reach our destination. It was a small fishing village, with beautiful landscape. On the way we had a breakfast.

Content: It was a castle at the main highway, which was surrounded by a park. It is irregular in shape and has a tower at each corner. On the first floor of the castle some photographs and old belongings are exhibited.
Content: On the way to Punta del Diablo, we stopped at El Aguillo. It was a stone house in the shape of an Eagle's head. It was most attractive spot.
Content: It was a unique white building and the house of Carlos Paez Vilaro, a famous artist. It was a living sculpture nested above the ocean. It was most attractive place. Spending time here is worth and we had lunch at the restaurant.
Content: It was an excellent selection of hotel, highly recommended. We felt positive vibe when we entered into the location. Beautifully organised sight with all amenities. Dome shaped private rooms are available, added touch to unusual stay. We dropped our bags.
Content: Playa de los Pescadores was most classic beach located in the center of Punta del Diablo. Best place to click photos of fishing vessels. We had seafood and drinks. The food is fresh because fishermen tie up their boat and load fresh fish at the beach.
Content: We spot lots of pubs and bars to explore the night. We headed out to a bar and enjoyed their food and music. Then we returned to the hotel.
Day 7 - 26 Nov 2019
Content: We had a buffet breakfast from the hotel with a variety of dishes. We packed our belongings since we planned to check out the hotel by evening.
Content: We reached Los Dedos, which is very famous landmark in Uruguay. We stopped to take photo of the sculpture. The place capture attention by the five human fingers emerging from the sands. We saw lots of sculptures around the area and streets.
Content: It is the most attractive place for the tourist. There is a four-way intersection street where we stood in the middle and saw seas at the end of four roads. Amazing view, very unique to see the sea from all points.
Content: On the way back, we met small beaches lined by restaurants and the harbor. It is a great place to grab fresh seafood. We enjoyed food by watching fishermen catch fresh fishes and selling them along the beach.
Content: We reached hotel and took our belongings.We took car from Punta del Diablo to Carrasco International Airport.
Day 7 - 26 Nov 2019
Content: We took a flight from Carrasco International Airport to our home town. We realized that the place altogether is best to take a break from daily life and go for a holiday with family. We explored the streets and enjoyed the beauty of the buildings. Supreme spot to relax your mind and relax your soul.
